Versatile Simulator System FAQ

Why is the Versatile Simulator System better than other simulators?
We believe the special features of our VSS make it stand out from our competitors. The computer including graphics card(s) and liquid cooling system are housed in a single case mounted on rails underneath the floor plate of the VSS. This arrangement allows for rapid removal and replacement of component parts and fault diagnosis. The exceptional construction, quality and finish ensures the VSS stands out from the crowd and allows you to offer a selection of activities including helicopter, plane and racing car options whilst having to purchase and manage one single machine. The quick simple swapping of controls and functions ensure smooth transition between the vast number of possible scenarios.
Force feedback is transported through the seat and steering wheel with accurate data and dynamics from the software. The end result is much more than just a great looking image on the screen; it’s the immersive feeling of actually being on track.
When completely assembled with the screen sub-frame the VSS occupies approximately 244cm (L) 305cm (W) 160cm (H) floor space.
With the screen sub-frame disassembled, the Versatile Simulator System is 92 cm wide.
The VSS can be broken down and moved by two adults by hand. The integrated wheels combined with leveling feet allow the device to be moved around and located in venues efficiently and with ease. The adjustable leveling feet ensure a quick stable platform is achieved.
Unlike other motion simulators the Versatile Simulator System can be set up on any surface and does not require bolting down.
The VSS uses approximately 220-240 volts and requires a 1.kkw Generator. No special plugs or connectors are required.
The VSS includes controller pre-sets making it accessible for experienced and inexperienced users. The modular format enables the device to be configured to your exact needs.
We can provide licenses for most of the popular software options. The VSS can simulate thousands of different scenarios for racing cars, airplane and helicopter. A multitude of cars are available from road saloon cars on the Nubergring Track to formula 1 racing on Silverstone Circuit. Users can experience more than 30 aircraft, spanning the aviation industry and its history. Aircraft included range from the Bell 206 Jet Ranger and Cessna 172 to the Space Shuttle and the B-2 Bomber. The VSS uses X-Plane helicopter software this includes the following aircraft. Robinson R22, Bell 206, Sikorsky UH-60 Black Hawk Sikorsky H-3 Sea King, Boing CH-47 Chinook, and Bell AH-1 “Attack” Cobra. There are several flight regions available i.e. Grand Canyon (Arizona), Catalina (California), Big Bear (California), Juneau (Alaska), Provost (Canada) and the fictitious Canyons. Other great features include weather modeling, simulated system failures and instructor-controlled conditions.
Absolutely, whether it’s a replica of a vintage car for personal use, a private track, in-game branding, cars and game for marketing and promotional activities, we can create it.

Plane and Helicopter Simulators FAQ

What are the benefits of simulator training for aviation enthusiasts?
There are many benefits of simulator training including cost reduction, all weather flying, post flight analysis and improved flight safety.
Our helicopter simulators provide high performance quality devices to allow rehearsal and practice for most of the exercises required for the Private Pilot Licence or Commercial Pilot Licence. This includes emergency training and simulator practice. Simulator Emergency Training includes- Partial panel (vacuum system), system failures (clutch, tail-rotor, etc.), power loss & engine failure, instrument failures, navigation aid failures, and communication system failures. Simulator Practice includes- flight maneuvers, VOR tracking (intercepting and tracking), standard and non-standard holds, developing good scan habits. Approaches: – full and radar vectored precision, non-precision (VOR, NDB), GPS and radar.
Utilising our aeroplane and helicopter simulators can help considerably reduce the cost of flight training. Low hourly rates in our simulators are a significant safer alternative to expensive real flight hours. Costs are further reduced by increased efficiency for a wide range of complex tasks. Potentially hazardous scenarios as well as the routine such as time consuming real world site reconnaissance or basic flying and hovering familiarisation. All these can be accomplished in your own time in our helicopter and fixed wing simulators. Moreover, with aviation fuel and operating costs rising in all areas of aviation, using our simulators gives individuals and flight training schools the opportunity to reduce flight training costs in an ecologically friendly and safe environment.
Our Simulators have been designed, developed and manufactured to provide the best static simulation experience available. Our simulators have unique dual controls and bespoke software and can be custom built to client specification. Simulator Logic will scratch build your simulator to the highest levels of quality and performance. We can also build your simulator using a real aircraft shell.
We offer lease, hire or purchase options on unrivalled, affordable, dual-controlled helicopter and fixed wing simulators. In addition Simulator Logic offers a service for corporate events, promotions, parties etc. Find out more about our hire simulator service by clicking on the entertainment button on the menu bar.
Pilot safety can be greatly improved by using one of our simulators, with post flight analysis and real time Air Traffic Control as well as engine, systems and instruments failures. Additionally, simulation of other air traffic at global locations and airports with variable weather conditions significantly alleviate the potential hazards of real world helicopter flying training, licence renewal and currency.
